Calendula

Calendula is a small yard annual plant from 5 to 15 cm long with yellow or orange flowers. Calendula has a calming effect on the central nervous system and antibacterial properties, reduces blood pressure, able to resist staphylo- and streptococcus. Calendula infusion is used for mouth and throat rinsing in angina, stomatitis, and ointments and alcoholic tinctures are used for the treatment of poorly healing wounds and postoperative fistula. It is used as a tool for hair strengthening. It has antibacterial, astringent, anti-inflammatory and blood-cleansing effect.
